Rail-fan Pictures at Yarmouth Junction in Yarmouth, Maine

Yarmouth Junction was once host to the Maine Central and the Grand Trunk Railroads and would ocasionally see three trains meet there at the same time. Now Amtrak goes by 6 times a day to Brunswick and back and the Saint Lawrence and Atlantic only takes a car full of beans to the B&M Beans plant in East Deering, Portland, ME when the last one gets empty. All other shippers on their line have cancelled service.

The small Yarmouth Jct Station could be the host of a lot of activity. It is now preserved at the Cumberland Fairgrounds on Blanchard Rd, Cumberland, ME 04021 43.809291, -70.286627. Yarmouth Junction itself is at the end of Depot Rd in Yarmouth, ME 04096 43.814131, -70.193130 mpl 2.
